Lowell E. Sweet
LOWELL E. SWEET is the senior member of Sweet, Maier & Coletti, S.C. Lowell practices primarily in the areas of condominium, real estate, development, zoning, estate planning and probate law in Wisconsin.
Lowell has served as a co-editor and contributing author of the Wisconsin Condominium Law Handbook. He authored the "Phased Condominiums" segment of Condominium Law & Practice which was published by Matthew Bender. He has also served as a co-editor/reviewer of books on Estate Planning and the Law of Easements. In addition, he has written a number of articles on various law related topics for different legal publications. Lowell was the recipient of a citation from the Wisconsin Legislature for his work on the Condominium Act of Wisconsin. He has been a frequent lecturer on real estate, condominiums, taxes, estates and ethics for the State Bar of Wisconsin and a number of other national and state program presenters. He has also been a guest instructor at the University of Wisconsin Law School on real estate and practice management for the general practice program.
Mr. Sweet received his Bachelor's degree from Wayne University (now known as Wayne State University), Detroit, Michigan, in 1953. In 1955 he received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin. He is licensed to practice in Wisconsin and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Sweet is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, the American and Wisconsin Bar Associations and several law related organizations. He is listed in "The Best Lawyers in America" and "Who's Who in America".
Mr. Sweet, following his military service in CIC, U.S. Army, entered law practice in Elkhorn with the law firm of Morrissy, Morrissy, Zastrow & Sweet. In 1970, Lowell started the law firm that is now known as Sweet, Maier & Coletti, S.C.
