Anthony A. Coletti

Anthony A. Coletti is the newest shareholder in the Law Firm of Sweet, Maier & Coletti, S.C. and practices primarily in the areas of condominium, real estate development and contract law, corporate and business law, transactional work and litigation.  He has served as sole or lead counsel on numerous complex development projects and in the sale, acquisition, and leasing of residential and commercial real estate. As a result, Tony has extensive experience in zoning, subdivision, contract, condominium, title and landlord-tenant law.  Tony has served as a regular faculty member in continuing education seminars lecturing on condominium law, the formation and operation of property associations, and the use of paralegals in a real estate practice.

Through service as counsel for two local municipalities, Tony has acquired a depth of knowledge of municipal law and governance and an unique perspective on real estate law and practice.  Over the years, he has successfully litigated a number of difficult real estate and contract actions.  His circuit court experience includes work for borrowers and lenders in foreclosure actions.  Tony has successfully appeared before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, Wisconsin Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals Seventh Circuit.

Tony graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1988 with Honors in History.  In May, 1991 Tony received his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School where he received Honors in Constitutional Law and worked as a research assistant.  Tony is licensed, and has practiced law, in Wisconsin for 17 years.

Tony brings a unique perspective to his practice.  As the prior owner of a successful small business, he is skilled in client relations and business development.  He has practiced law on his own and in mid-sized firms.  Prior to joining Sweet, Maier & Coletti, S.C., Tony was an Attorney/Title Examiner at Chicago Title Insurance Company in Waukesha, Wisconsin, working on complex, high-risk, commercial and residential real estate projects, such as The Grand Avenue in Milwaukee.
