Condominium Law

If you are in the business of developing or redeveloping real estate, and are interested in the condominium approach to ownership, the lawyers at Sweet, Maier & Coletti, S.C., have the extensive knowledge of condominium law needed to help you through the process. Contact our experienced Wisconsin condominium law attorneys today.

Our senior member, Lowell E. Sweet, served on the committee which revised the condominium law for the State of Wisconsin, and received a special citation from the Wisconsin Legislature for his work on the Condominium Act of Wisconsin. Our lawyers have been active in that area of practice for several decades, have written books and articles on the subject, and routinely lecture on this topic at seminars for other lawyers put on by local, state and national bar organizations. Our lawyers understand condominium law, and are comfortable with "condo" projects ranging from planned unit developments and small condominiums, to large resort sized projects. We also routinely assist clients with creating condo timeshares and condominium conversions.

When you retain our firm to assist with your condo development, we are able to offer "turn-key" guidance through the entire process. We are able to help with the planning of the entire project, including your needs related to real estate, zoning and land development, and the formation of your business entity. We will discuss insurance, listing, and brokerage, property tax, and condominium development financing techniques with you. Our attorneys will also help prepare the Plat, the Declaration, and we'll form the Owner's Association for post-construction condo management, including filing articles of incorporation, association bylaws, operating rules, and budgets, all as required by law.

Our attorneys have practical experience in the day to day operations of the community association, and can assist with management issues, before and after it is turned over by the developer to the unit owners. We routinely follow up after project completion, by assisting the Owner's Association to ensure that the development is running smoothly.

If you are starting a new condominium project, trust our skill and past experience. Contact our condominium lawyers today to schedule a consultation. We offer you personal service and in-depth knowledge of condominium law.
